Building Systems. Designing Interfaces.
I'm Harihar Nautiyal, a Technical Architect and Product Designer. I architect backends in Rust, design game interfaces, and ship end-to-end products that scale.
I founded H01 Studio to build type-safe developer tools. Previously, I designed and developed 4 real-time casino games generating $27M+ in revenue, built an edtech platform serving 10K users, and contributed to SurrealDB and PumpkinMC.
I work with teams who need more than a developer — they need someone who can own the architecture and the screen.

Open Source Contributions
SurrealDB
As a contributor to the massively popular SurrealDB open-source project, I designed and implemented rich terminal syntax highlighting directly into their core CLI tool. This enhancement significantly improved the developer experience, making raw database queries exponentially easier to read, debug, and execute.

PumpkinMC
PumpkinMC is a violently fast, ridiculously efficient custom Minecraft server implementation written entirely in Rust. By ditching the legacy Java architecture and focusing on raw performance, memory safety, and modern concurrency, PumpkinMC aims to redefine what is possible for massive multiplayer server networks.

Puuid
puuid brings Stripe-style prefixed UUIDs directly to the Rust ecosystem. Instead of dealing with ambiguous database strings, this library enforces type-safe, instantly readable identifiers that still behave exactly like standard UUIDs under the hood, making your database schemas bulletproof and incredibly developer-friendly.

Userencrypt
UserEncrypt is an open-source Minecraft plugin designed to completely eliminate identity theft on offline-mode servers. By intercepting logins and permanently encrypting original usernames into irreversible aliases under the hood, it secures admin privileges and stops malicious impersonators dead in their tracks.

Censor
Censor isn't just another regex bot. It's a high-performance AI moderator built in Rust, designed to natively understand English, Hindi, and Hinglish. Instead of relying on hardcoded strings, it reads between the lines to catch complex evasion attempts and leetspeak, securing your Discord server instantly without lagging the chat.

The Backend Dilemma: Rust vs. Kotlin for Modern Services
Choosing the right backend language is tough. Kotlin has taken over the JVM world as a modern Java alternative, while Rust is pushing boundaries in performance and safety. Let's break down how they compare so you can figure out what works best for your next project.

Yew.rs vs. React: A New Challenger for Frontend Development
React has been the undisputed king of frontend for a long time, but Yew.rs—built with Rust and WebAssembly—is turning heads. Let's look at how they stack up against each other and whether you should consider Rust for your next UI project.

The Advantages of Rust Backend over TypeScript
Rust is taking over the backend space, and it's easy to see why. While Node.js and TypeScript have ruled the roost for years, Rust brings some serious performance heat. Let's look at how Actix Web stacks up against Express.js and why you might want to consider making the switch.
